Dear ACE Families,

It has been a fun-filled week with the kind of energy that reminds us why we love what we do here. We kicked things off with our Kindergarten and first grade students attending the Mission Imagination performance on Tuesday morning. What a fun opportunity for our students to attend a performance at the GHS auditorium.

Our 4th graders rose to the occasion during their Influential American presentations. It was wonderful to see so many parents join us; your presence makes a world of difference to our students  as they share their hard work. Similarly, Mrs. Diamond’s class hosted a fantastic Starbooks Cafe, and we are so grateful to the guests who stopped by to help make that "literary cafe" atmosphere come to life.

Wednesday was National Paraprofessional Day. I cannot emphasize enough how vital our paraprofessionals are to the heartbeat of this building. They do a wonderful, and more importantly, essential job every single day. Quite simply, we couldn’t do it without them. They make our lives easier and our students' experiences better, and we are so lucky to have such an amazing team.

We also looked toward building character this week during our Guardian Groups on Friday morning. We officially kicked off the Pillar of Courage, discussing what it means to be brave in both big and small ways.

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders worked hard this week on the ELA portion of the NSCAS testing. They handled the challenge with great focus, and we are so proud of their effort. As we look ahead, our 5th graders will be tackling the Science portion next, and we will eventually close out the testing window with the Math assessment in the coming weeks.

Thank you for your continued support in making this school such a vibrant place to learn and grow. Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Kistler
