Ahoy, Mateys! It’s National School Lunch Week!
We celebrated with the theme "School Lunch Pirates: Find Your Treasure!" 🏴☠️ Our amazing Food and Nutrition teams showed their school spirit in new pirate-themed shirts, thanks to a manager who went the extra mile to make the week special.
It was a fun-filled week, and GPS, along with our students, want to thank FANS for taking us on this high-seas adventure of good nutrition, where we discovered treasure in every healthy meal!

Our 4th-grade students recently dove into an exciting unit on energy and motion! They discovered the fascinating concepts of kinetic and potential energy, momentum, friction, and collision.










The third-grade rockstars at Harvest Hills Elementary took the stage by storm during their Rock and Roll Decades singing program!





Today the brave firefighters from the Gretna Fire Department visited Harvest Hills Elementary School for a special fire prevention assembly! The students had an absolute blast learning essential fire safety tips and tricks from our local heroes.

The firefighters also showcased their impressive gear and equipment, giving the students a unique, up-close look at the tools they use to keep our community safe.










Our third graders have been hard at work practicing for their program and needed a little dance break before heading back to class!


Mrs. Williams' 5th-grade students have been hard at work developing essential life skills with our Purposefull People curriculum! Recently, they focused on responsibility and goal setting, learning valuable lessons to help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Happy Fall from Miss Tammy's Preschool! Today, our 4-year-old Harvest Hills Preschoolers spent the day exploring the wonders of Vala's Pumpkin Patch! The smiles were contagious as they navigated the patch, picked out their perfect pumpkins, and enjoyed the many fall festivities. They made memories that will last a lifetime!





Shoutout to our amazing preschoolers! This week, our 3 and 4-year-old classes have truly shown what it means to be superstar students! From following classroom routines to showcasing their creativity during art projects, these tiny learners have proven to be true leaders!








Mrs. Williams 5th Graders went on a SHOPPING SPREE today! They are working on Estimating and multiplying with decimals. Thanks for making learning challenging and fun, Mrs. Williams!

These fifth grade BRIGHT MINDS crushed the Harvest Run on Friday. Not only did they participate in their own run, but they supported all of the other grade levels by directing and cheering on our Kindergarten through 4th grade runners. We have an amazing 5th grade group!

Yesterday, our amazing students and staff got the ultimate chance to 'color' outside the lines...literally! At our annual Harvest Run, we hosted an epic paintball event - and our principal was the main target!
The classes that raised the most funds for our Harvest Run threw paintballs at Mrs. Troester! The teachers couldn't miss out on the fun either and threw some as well!
Huge thanks to our PTO, volunteers, and staff for organizing this unforgettable experience. It's events like these that make Harvest Hills Elementary truly special.

Mrs. Henning's Nature Club took a 'time out' this morning to soak up the morning sun and fresh air. What a beautiful sunrise to take in!
